Bound for the Promised Land

Cantori Choral Ensemble presents a concert focusing on hope for the future and for the afterlife, including Biblical texts, gorgeous English cathedral anthems, folk songs, and spirituals. The concert includes beautiful choral music ranging from How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place by Brahms to familiar folk music such as Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, Deep River, Steal Away, and Bound for the Promised Land. The 12-voice auditioned choral ensemble is under the direction of Agnes French, with Rebecca Davy, organ and piano, and Mei-Li Beane, violin and viola.
