Oyster Harvesting, Bay Topics on Tap at NARFE’s April Lunch
Shari Davies of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation will discuss oyster harvesting and other Bay-related topics at the April 11 luncheon of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
The event takes place at the Colonial Heritage Restaurant, 6520 Arthur Hills Drive in Williamsburg at 11:30 a.m. with check-in and socializing starting at 11 AM.
The menu includes a choice of entree, a house salad, and chef’s choice dessert. Entree choices are pork stir fry over jasmine rice or Italian meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Cost of the luncheon is $21 (cash, check or credit card; checks payable to Colonial Heritage). RSVP with your choice of entree no later than Thursday, April 6, at 5 p.m. to PZKell@Cox.net.
On May 9, NARFE luncheon speakers will be Rick Correa and Nina Ullrich of the Virginia Department of Transportation. They will talk about major projects in the Hampton Roads District including expansion of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and the express lanes.
