WRL Film Society Presents “All About Eve” (1950)
May 5 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Freell About Eve (1950) is one of film’s greatest backstage stories, a Best Picture winner in which a seemingly timid ingenue becomes ruthless after she inserts herself into the life of an aging Broadway star and her circle of friends. Bette Davis appears in one of her greatest roles, but was joined by four other cast members and the writer/director in receiving Oscar nominations. NR 2hr 18min.

Are you crazy for movies? The WRL Film Society is a discussion group for movie lovers, with meetings on the first Sunday of each month at 1 pm at the Williamsburg Library. At meetings, members will share their views on the films they have recently watched (no major spoilers!) and discuss a set of questions posed by the group leaders, Neil Hollands and Mandy Malone. This is a group for fans of films of all kinds across time—classic films, arthouse films, blockbusters, or even guilty pleasures. A list of recommended films and discussion questions will be made available a month in advance.
To get on our mailing list for the group, send a request with your email address through the Ask a Librarian form at https://www.wrl.org/ask-a-librarian/.
